Hanano Miyako Koen is a must-visit spot for views of Mt. Fuji. Located near the Lake Yamanakako in Yamanashi Prefecture, the park has a beautiful flower garden and several amenities. Depending on what season you visit, there are different flowers in bloom, so make sure to check the official website.

As well as flower viewing, the park has a cafe, restaurant, souvenir shop and dome to meander around, all while taking in the unimaginable size of Mt.Fuji.

At the back-end of the park, there is the stunning Myojin Waterfall, which is well worth visiting if you have time before your bus. Unfortunately, Mt. Fuji can not be seen from this location, but it is still impressive.

The weather around Mt.Fuji is always changing and the peak can disappear within a matter of minutes, so make sure to check the weather before, as not to be disappointed on the day.

Travellers can access Yamanakako Hananomiyako Koen via the Fujikko Sightseeing bus from Fujisan Station (around 30 mins). Get off at the Hananomiyako-Koen bus stop and cross the road to enter. Note that buses are infrequent, so check the time table and don’t miss your return bus.
